Durty Nelly's unique story
So what’s with the name Durty Nelly’s? Let us share our tale with you.
Durty Nelly’s is a 15th century Bunratty Castle named after a legendary Irish hostess and entrepreneur. Today, it is also one of Ireland's most famous landmarks for its food and hospitality. It’s what the Irish like to call "craic agus ceoll" and an experience we've recreated here on the corner of Argyle and Sackville streets, in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Our pub is so uniquely Irish that it was built in Dublin in December 2008 and transported across the Atlantic for you to enjoy a taste of Ireland. So come sit back, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some genuine Irish charm!
